What happens after you reach out
When you submit the form or call us, we typically respond within one business day. If your project is urgent say, a failing retaining wall or a project that needs to be wrapped up before a specific deadline let us know and we’ll prioritize accordingly. Otherwise, the typical flow is a brief introductory phone or email conversation to understand what you’re thinking, followed by scheduling an in-person walkthrough at your home.
The walkthrough is the most important step. We’ll meet at the property, walk the area you’re thinking about, talk through ideas and options, and ask plenty of questions about how you’ll use the space. We’ll also note site-specific factors that affect design and pricing slope, soil, drainage, access for equipment, existing utilities, and HOA constraints if applicable. Most consultations take 45 minutes to an hour.
What to have ready
- A general sense of scope. Are you thinking about a small fire pit area, a full backyard transformation, or something in between? Even rough ideas help us schedule the right amount of consultation time.
- Photos that inspire you. Houzz, Pinterest, Instagram, or photos of friends' yards. Visual references are far more useful than verbal descriptions.
- A sense of timing. Are you hoping to use the space this summer, or planning ahead for next year? This affects when we schedule and how we sequence design vs construction.
- Budget context. You don't need a specific number, but a general range helps us guide material and design recommendations toward what makes sense for you.
Project timing and lead times
Spring through fall is our active construction season, and our schedule fills up months in advance. Reaching out as early as possible particularly for larger projects gives us the best chance to get you on the schedule for your preferred season. Winter is a great time to plan and design so construction can begin as soon as weather allows in spring.
What we do and don't do
We focus exclusively on hardscaping patios, pathways, retaining walls, fire pits, pavers, landscape lighting, water features, stairs and steps, stone walkways, and flagstone installation. We don’t do mowing, irrigation maintenance, fencing, decks, or full landscape design. If your project includes services we don’t offer, we’re happy to recommend trusted local contractors we’ve worked with on past projects.
Reaching us
The fastest way to reach us is the form on this page or a direct phone call. Email works too we check it throughout the day. We’re a small team, so the person who responds is likely the same person you’ll meet for the consultation and the same person who will run your project. That continuity matters and we work hard to maintain it.
